The Brief
The Academy for Skills & Knowledge (ASK) building forms part of a £16.5m investment by BAE Systems at its Samlesbury site, providing 7,400m² of teaching, workshop and office space next to the advanced manufacturing centre for military aircraft.
BAE Systems needed a full FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment) fit-out across a building that mixes classroom, workshop and office environments under one roof.
Our Approach
We delivered a full FF&E fit-out across the building, specifying furniture ranges to suit each of its distinct environments, from formal teaching rooms to informal breakout and office space.
Coordinating closely with the build programme meant furniture was ready to go in as each area of the building was handed over.

The Result
The ASK building opened as a fully furnished skills and training centre, supporting BAE Systems' aircraft manufacturing workforce at Samlesbury.
It sits alongside our other BAE Systems Air work at Warton as part of a long-standing relationship across the business's training and skills estate.
